Saxophonist and flutist Curt Hanrahan is both a solo recording artist and head of Jazz Studies at the University of Wisconsin.

He co-founded the Lakeshore Conservatory of Music in Racine Wisconsin and performs regularly throughout the Milwaukee area with symphonies, theater productions, Jazz artists and The Milwaukee Jazz Orchestra, which he leads.

Curt has worked with Tony Bennett, Arturo Sandoval, Manhattan Transfer, Diane Schurr, Bobby Caldwell and Doc Severinsen to name a few.

He has released three solo CDs: Hang Time, To Be Again and Souljourney as well as Welcome to Swingsville with The Milwaukee Jazz Orchestra

Welcome To Swingsville! is The Milwaukee Jazz Orchestra's debut CD on the Chicago based Blujazz label. The disc includes seven live and unrehearsed standards and originals by Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker and Gil Evans to name a few.
